Big Sur Marathon 2026
| PARTICIPANT CONTRACT
All charity
runners must comply with Big Sur Marathon event rules and all Charity Program
regulations and deadlines.
I acknowledge that the Dare2tri Paratriathlon Club 2026 Big
Sur Marathon Charity (Race2Raise) fundraising minimum is $2,100 for a Full
Marathon Participant Spot and $1,600 for a 11-Miler Participant Spot.
I acknowledge that a Charity Program entry CANNOT BE
REFUNDED without fulfilling my fundraising commitment. I have until March
1st if I wish to defer and have raised and have raised the full fundraising minimum for my selected event.
I acknowledge that officially registering for the event is
separate from any Dare2tri Paratriathlon Club Race2Raise Team paperwork.
I agree to follow Dare2tri Paratriathlon Club Race2Raise
Team fundraising benchmarks must be met otherwise my credit card will be
charged the difference.
· - $500 by January 20th, 2026
· - $1,000 by March 2nd, 2026
· - My remaining fundraising commitment balance by
April 10th, 2026
I understand that if I do not raise $2,100 (Full Marathon
Participant) or $1,600 (11-Miler Participant) by April 10th, 2026, and
Dare2tri is unable to charge the difference, I will forfeit my entry into the
Big Sur Marathon. I further understand that I will have two weeks post marathon
to raise additional funds if I have not met my qualifying minimum that will
allow me to receive a reimbursement if I meet the minimum.
I acknowledge if I get injured and cannot compete at the
event, I will need to provide a doctor’s note to Dare2tri Paratriathlon Club to
be exempt from the full fundraising minimum. I will still be required to pay or
raise a minimum of $700 (or amount due at date of withdrawal; whichever is
greater) to cover any costs incurred by Dare2tri. If I wish to defer, I will be
required to raise the full minimum.
I acknowledge if I am not injured (see above) and do not
participate that I am still responsible for fulfilling fundraising minimums.
Myself and/or funders will not receive a refund on donations.
I acknowledge that I must have a valid credit card number on
file with Dare2Tri Paratriathlon Club via the fundraising portal for the
duration of my participation in the Raise2Race Charity runner program. If a
credit card number changes or becomes invalid for any reason, I will provide a
new credit card to Dare2Tri Paratriathlon Club by updating my fundraising
profile in a timely manner.
I understand Dare2tri Paratriathlon Club adheres to and
follows all Big Sur Marathon policies, guidelines and rules including
circumstances for event cancellation or postponement or circumstances for event
changes due to unforeseen actions such as weather or otherwise, including but
not limited, actions by governmental entities, actions by law enforcement,
unanticipated road closures, civil unrest, acts of terrorism, war, epidemics,
pandemics or outbreaks of communicable diseases, national or regional emergencies,
and other natural or unnatural acts. I understand that should an event be
cancelled or postponed, my staff partner will provide information on next steps
or options and that these options vary by event. Options may include extension
of the fundraising deadline and/or charge date.
